'SLOGAN TEES AND SELF-CARE'

Whew chile it's been a rough couple of weeks y'all but I'm glad I've sorta come out on the side...well almost, I'm getting there. I haven't felt like blogging, being on social media or talking to anyone! Like I literally just didn't have the energy to talk on the phone or even text and just wanted to curl up in bed and be alone with my thoughts, read a book or something and be away from my usual routine. These past couple of weeks have reminded me that I need to take better care of myself in all aspects but mostly mentally and emotionally. I know about self care but don't really practice it as much as I should! So I'm on a mission to look after myself better, be more organised and get my life in order!

One thing I've been yearning to do is read more. I used to love reading and would finish a book in a day or two but at the moment my attention span when reading is just not there, it's hard for me to stay interested but I'm determined to get back into it. I've got a few books that I started but never finished so I'm gonna finish those first and then pick up some books I've seen on Comfy Cozy Up blog ran by Peta. I came across Peta's blog recently and she has some great book reviews/recommendations that I'm looking forward to checking out. I'm also going to unplug more often and prioritise some me time doing things I enjoy.

How do you practice self-care?

  1. When you can so relate! I haven't finished a full book in a long time. My attention span is rubbish. In fact I doze off every time I start a book. Gotta change that!
You look wonderful, Sam. Great ensemble here.

  8. I hear you I feel this way quite often but generally just push through I think it is my graphic design training. And if I do give in to then I feel anxious which I know is bad. And I use to read all the time too! But now I it takes me way longer to get through a book.

But on the upside love this look!
